Cisco AnyConnect unable to establish VPN connection

When Installing the Cisco Anyconnect on Windows, encounter  the following error  “Unable to establish VPN connection”
Windows 8 fix  to this error is very simple and have to tweak windows registry a configuration of Cisco Any Connect SSLVPN.

Modifying the Registry key incorrectly can cause serious problem. To be on safer side, backup the Registry . Steps to backup click here 

Follow these steps to Fix  error  “Unable to establish VPN Connection”

  • Open notepad and copy below regedit path into it

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesvpnva]
“DisplayName”=”Cisco AnyConnect VPN Virtual Miniport Adapter for Windows x64”

  • Save the notepad as Cisco Anyconnect.reg

( To save as REG file, “Save as type:” option to “All Files” )

  • Double click on the Cisco Anyconnect.reg . Click “Yes” to continue.

Now try logging in to Cisco AnyConnect SSLVPN and should be successfully connect to Cisco Any Connect Service.
