How to configure Printer Or Application SMTP Relay In Exchange Online

Multi-function Printer need to be configured with SMTP Relay without any user authentication for validation. Today we will learn how to configure SMTP Relay in printer for Scan to Email.

Steps to configure Printer SMTP Relay for Scan to Email :

1) Login to exchange Office 365 Portal With your Credentials, then navigate to Domains >> DNS
Note down the MX record

 

 

 

2) Now Login to your Online Admin Portal Center with your login credentials, then navigate to Mail flow, Click on connector > Add a new Connector>
use these settings : From : Your organization’s email server ; To : Office 365

  • Specify a name for the connector and leave other settings to default, then click Next
    In this Window – How should Office365 identify email from your email server?
  • Choose the option By Verifying that the IP Address of the sending server matches one of these IP addresses that belongs to your organization. click the “+” and add the IP address of your server, Click Next and complete the configuration.

On the printer, configure SMTP Details:

Key-in these details to the printer

  • Server Name = VXLdetails.mail.VXL.outlook.com
  • Port = 25
  • TLS = Enabled
  • Email Address = specify an email address to identify that mail was sent from Printer.

For an Application to use SMTP Relay use the server name and port number without any user details.

Method 2:

Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types, scroll down to and select (XLS, XLSx, DOC or DOCx), click Advanced, select Open, click the Edit button.
Now uncheck “Use DDE” and then put your cursor on the Application box, arrow all the way to the right and put in “%1” (include the quote marks), If there is a /dde remove it. click OK.

Add the Tally Virtual server network card to connect to this Vswitch. Assign the IP Address to Tally server with the same range of client PC.

Now connect the ESX host physical network adapter to the Physical switch to a port, then you have to configure the switch port to Access mode and allow the client VLAN to access this port.

Now the Client PC will be able to detect the Tally server and License will be assigned.

Method 2:

Tally server should be enable with Terminal services, Multiple users can do a remote desktop connection to the server. But this solution will be expensive with Terminal service License and Windows Licenses.

Powershell Script Creating Multiple  Active directory users,email address,updating Attributes and adding user to multiple security and distribution groups.

Exchange 2016 and Active directory does not goes well with new user account creation. you cannot duplicate or copy  a user account to replicate attributes for a new joiner account. The Only Option is to create the account manually and update it. It is easy to create single user but it becomes time consuming and extremely difficult for creating multiple user accounts without any error.

I decided to use Powershell script which can automate the process without much manual work. This script helps to create a user account, email address, update the attributes and add user to member of security and distribution groups.

Download the Excel file, update the fields with necessary information and save to temp folder.

Copy the below powershell code to notepad and save it as .PS1 file.
